Small Groups, Solos, Duos & Trios Registration Process

Ready to take the stage this summer? Whether you're dreaming of performing a solo, partnering in a duo, or creating a small group piece, Midsummer After Dark Series is your opportunity to shine.

How It Works

1. Submit Your Interest
   Complete the registration form and let us know whether you'd like to perform a solo, duo, trio, or small group.

2. Tell Us About Your Piece

   • Performing a past Spencer Studios routine? Let us know which one.

   • Choreographed your own piece? We'd love to see it!

   • Want a brand-new routine? Private choreography sessions can be arranged for an additional fee.

3. Video Submission
   All applicants will be asked to submit a short video of their routine. This isn't about being "perfect"—it's simply to ensure each piece can be performance-ready and fits the overall vision of the showcase.

4. Selection Process
   Pieces will be selected based on:

   • Performance quality and execution

   • Stage presence

   • Entertainment value

   • Variety within the showcase

   • Overall readiness

5. Rehearsal
   Accepted entries will receive one rehearsal (included with registration) to clean and polish the performance before dress rehearsal and showcase day.

Please Note

• Priority registration will be given to Spencer Studios dancers.

• You do not need to be enrolled in the current session to submit a piece.

• Small groups are limited to five dancers.

• Due to the intimate nature of Midsummer After Dark, the number of performance entries is limited.

• All performers must be available for the dress rehearsal and showcase on August 15th.

Investment:

Solo - $150+gst

Duo - $170+gst

Trio - $190+gst

Small Group - $210+gst

Payment is due once your piece has been approved.
